Downtown Milford is about to spend a full Saturday wrapped in jazz. On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Milford Arts Council opens the inaugural Jazz’n Downtown — free general admission across three outdoor stages, plus an evening Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong tribute that is separately ticketed. Coastal Bridge Advisors is the lead presenting sponsor, according to CTvisit and the festival site.
If you want one free, all-day plan for the weekend — and a few verified neighboring-town stops — start here.
Jazz’n Downtown: three outdoor stages, one ticketed night
Daytime music runs outdoors at Parsons Plaza Patio (70 W River St), Lisman Landing Marina (37 Helwig St), and the Stonebridge Restaurant patio (50 Daniel St). The evening concert moves indoors to Parsons Veterans Memorial Auditorium (53 W Main St). The main daytime info tent is listed at Taylor Memorial Library, 5 Broad St, on the festival’s Eventbrite page.
General admission is free, with a suggested $25 donation to the Milford Arts Council. Organizers ask people to register for a free wristband through Eventbrite so they can track attendance and send updates. The indoor Jazz Icons tribute — Wycliffe Gordon with Tina Fabrique, doors 6:30 p.m., show 7:30 p.m. — requires a separate ticket purchase.
