Who we are
Milford Voice (milfordvoice.com) is an independent local news site covering Milford, Orange, Stratford and West Haven, Connecticut. When this policy says “we,” “us” or “our,” it means Milford Voice.
What information we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. Our newsletter is delivered through Beehiiv, which stores your email address and may track whether emails are opened or links are clicked so we can improve the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email.
- Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and any website you enter, along with the comment itself, your IP address and browser information to help prevent spam. Your email address is never shown publicly. Comment services such as Gravatar may be used to display a profile picture tied to your email address.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics (through Google Site Kit) and WordPress.com/Jetpack Stats to understand how people use our site, such as which stories are read, how visitors find us and what kind of device they use. This information is collected in aggregate and helps us decide what to cover.
- Information you send us. If you email us a news tip, correction or question, we keep that message and your contact details so we can respond.
We do not sell your personal information.
