Chick-fil-A is a step closer to opening in Milford. The Planning and Zoning Board agreed in June 2026 to a settlement with the owners of Milford Crossing, the shopping plaza at 1357 Boston Post Road, clearing the way for the restaurant, Patch reported, citing Hearst Connecticut Media.

The board approved the settlement with B33 Milford Crossing LLC on a 7–3 vote at its Tuesday, June 2 meeting. The developer had appealed after the board rejected the Chick-fil-A proposal in September, when members raised concerns about traffic flow and parking.
The plan calls for a dual-lane drive-thru restaurant at the opposite end of the parking lot from Barnes & Noble. According to the reports, the revised development plan addresses several of the board’s concerns with traffic and safety improvements for pedestrians and drivers.

The Milford restaurant would be Chick-fil-A’s 18th in Connecticut. The closest locations to Milford are currently in Shelton and West Haven.
No opening date has been announced.
