More than 300 vendors are expected on the Milford Green for the Fair on the Half Shell, formerly known as the Oysterfest Fair, on Saturday, Aug. 15, Patch reported. The fair runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Historic Milford Green, 84 Broad St., and admission is free.

The fair continues a tradition that has been held in Milford for more than 50 years and is one of the city’s longest-running annual community events.

Vendors will include artisans, small businesses, nonprofit organizations and food vendors from across Connecticut. Organizers told Patch visitors can expect handmade goods, artwork, specialty foods and other products, along with more than 20 food trucks.

Live entertainment and family activities are planned throughout the day, including bounce houses, face painting, caricature artists and dunk tanks, plus interactive exhibits focused on environmental education.

Correction (Sept. 28, 2026): An earlier version of this story did not name the event or give its date. It is the Fair on the Half Shell, formerly the Oysterfest Fair, held Saturday, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An incorrect reference to a nearby business has also been removed.
